It's hard to believe it is Friday already. I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for Five for Friday.
This has been a crazy week, but not one spent in my classroom.
I did go to school on Monday, but it was a Professional Development Day. We spent the day working with the new material for communicating student learning. We also worked in the lab with the e-portfolio material. If you want to know more about it, check out my latest blog post here.
On Tuesday, I did a guest blog post for Rachel Lynette of Minds in Bloom. It was about using technology in the classroom and not throwing out older technology too soon.
On Wednesday, after one week of fighting a head cold, I went to the doctor's and found out that I have bronchitis. Now I am on antibiotics and off for the rest of the week. I hope to return to school on Monday.
On Thursday, I decided to use some of my time to create lessons for next week. Thanksgiving is the second Monday in October, so we will be doing activities focused on being thankful next week.
Here is a sample activity from the package I created. You can see the rest of the package here.
Today, I want to rest and get better. I might still do some work, but my focus has to be getting healthy. I don't want to miss any more school. I am getting concerned about the continuity of my lessons and I have many things I want to get started.
Have a great weekend, everyone. Hopefully your October is starting out well. Oh, and by the way, don't forget that tomorrow is Do Something Nice Day. Laura Candler has a great handout for it over on her website. Check it out here.
